What we delivered: Full technical production and show-calling
RGM Fest is KFC's flagship conference and awards show, and 2026 marked the eleventh year Premier has delivered it. Over eleven years it has grown from a straightforward conference into a full-scale production with the pace and ambition of a broadcast show, staged this year across the halls of Exhibition Centre Liverpool.
We took on the technical production, staging, screens, lighting, audio, comms and show-calling, and the job of turning multiple empty halls into a show and back again inside a tight window.
With a main stage space, a registration and lunch area and a full rehearsal setup all running in parallel, the scale was significant. Our job was to make all of it feel effortless in the room, so the audience stayed focused on the show rather than how it was being delivered.
The Get-In & Install
The build started with the main stage, a Steeldeck main stage with an FOH platform and camera risers, dressed with a custom RGB addressable LED feature run in black channel and opal diffuser to give the set its own identity on camera.
Around it went a flown L-Acoustics KARA line array with SB18 and SB28 subs on LA8 amplification, tuned for the room, plus a separate PA and battery uplighting package for the registration and lunch space so every area had sound and atmosphere from the moment doors opened.
Show Day
On the day, the room ran on Sennheiser digital wireless, EW-DX handhelds and bodypacks with IEMs for the presenters, and redundant QLab playback driving audio and video so nothing depended on a single machine. A full rehearsal space with comfort monitors and presenter cueing let the programme be locked in before doors.
Premier Live show-called the event cue by cue. Every video, walk-up, award and transition landed exactly when it needed to, keeping a fast agenda and a high-energy awards night moving without a beat dropped.
The Derig
When the show closed, the same team that built it took it down. Line array, staging, LED, lighting, audio and comms across every space were struck, packed and loaded out cleanly, on schedule, and off the venue floor ready for the hall to reset.
Eleven years in, RGM Fest keeps growing in scale and ambition, and the technical production grows with it. A show this size is exactly the kind of work we are built for.
