What we delivered: Staging, lighting and AV production across a full-day conference and awards dinner
We partnered with Pizza Express to deliver a full-day conference and awards dinner for 650 attendees at the ICC Birmingham. From concept to execution we handled the production, a high-energy, brand-led experience that celebrated success and inspired the team.
The Challenge

The Get-In & Install
We led the planning, coordinating internal departments and suppliers into one cohesive delivery.
Venue and logistics. We ran site visits, contracted the ICC and arranged accommodation and transport for delegates and suppliers.
Creative and branding. We developed the "Upbeat Live" event identity and carried it across print, digital and venue branding for a unified look.
Production planning. From health and safety to loading schedules, we scoped the staging, lighting and AV so the room could move between conference, competition and awards without a hitch.
Show Day
The ICC became a vibrant, multi-zone space, with plenary sessions, competitions, entertainment and awards all delivered across the day.
Staging and AV. We managed the staging, lighting and AV across the plenary and dinner spaces, keeping transitions smooth and the big moments impactful.
Content and speakers. We ran rehearsals, slide design, photography and videography, supporting presenters and capturing the day.
Engagement. The programme mixed pizza-flaring competitions, beatboxing and curated entertainment with the awards, keeping the energy high, backed throughout by our delegate management team.
The Derig
Afterwards we handled the debriefs, reporting and feedback, with the response overwhelmingly positive on the delivery and the delegate experience.
We compiled KPIs and insights into a full post-event report, struck the build cleanly and strengthened a relationship that continues into future Pizza Express events.
