What we delivered: Full-scale AV production, in-the-round staging, lighting, audio and show-calling

For the eighth consecutive year, we were selected as the AV supplier for KFC's flagship RGM Conference. At Manchester Central, the event welcomed over 1,350 restaurant general managers for a high-energy, immersive experience, and we delivered a bold in-the-round setup that put every delegate in the middle of the action.

The Challenge

Over 1,350 delegates around a central stage, with a suspended video wall visible from every seat and a show mixing presentations, awards and live performance. Precision engineering, huge visual and audio scale, and tight coordination across every department, over 100 crew at peak.

The Get-In & Rig

Our technical and production teams scoped the event with KFC, designed the AV layout and prepped the kit for a high-impact, reliable build.

In the round. We developed an in-the-round configuration centred on a suspended square video wall, keeping proximity and visibility for every attendee.

Prep and testing. All LED panels, lighting and audio were prepped and tested off-site, including the Barco E2 processor and media server rack.

Rigging. Working with Manchester Central's rigging supplier, our production managers mapped fixture placements and power for a safe, efficient install, with dedicated crews across lighting, video, audio and show-calling.

Show Days

The venue became a dynamic, immersive space with every AV element working in harmony from start to finish.

Video. A 40m perimeter video wall of 480 Unilumin UPAD IV panels carried high-resolution content, driven by a Barco E2.

Audio. L-Acoustics KARA with SB18 and KS21 subs and A15/X8 fills delivered crystal-clear sound on a Yamaha CL5, with Shure Axient digital wireless.

Lighting and show-calling. Over 200 intelligent fixtures, Chauvet Maverick, Elation Proteus, Robe Pointe, ran from a ChamSys MQ500, with eight 55-inch screens for speaker notes, clickers and IEMs keeping transitions and performances tight.

The Derig

After the conference and awards we struck cleanly and reviewed, with KFC praising the AV, the lighting design and the impact of the centralised layout.

An in-the-round build at this scale is one of the most demanding formats there is, and delivering it flawlessly marks our eighth year on their flagship RGM Conference.
