What we delivered: Full AV production across 15 rooms, a 70m projection wall, streaming, signage and scenic
SQLBits is the world's leading Data Platform conference, hosting over 300 sessions across five days. In 2024 it took over Farnborough International with 15 conference rooms, a vast exhibition hall and multiple breakout spaces. We delivered the full event production across the conference, the exhibition and the after-party.
The Challenge

The Get-In & Install
Planning began months out. We designed the floorplans for 15 conference rooms, the exhibition hall and an after-party space, mapping every zone for AV, delegate flow and branding, all built around the event's aviation theme.
We scoped power, rigging and connectivity across the whole venue and prepped kit for fast deployment, including the 11 projectors for the centrepiece projection wall. Bespoke digital signage and a web-based departure board showing live session timings tied the whole space together.
Show Days
Over five fully loaded arctic trucks brought in the AV, scenic and interactive elements. The centrepiece was a 70-metre edge-blended projection wall in the exhibition hall: using 11 projectors we streamed live feeds from every conference room, backed by an audio streaming system that let delegates tune into any session from the exhibition floor.
Each of the 15 rooms had its own tailored AV, projection, sound and lighting, with our technicians managing transitions and supporting speakers throughout. Two full flight simulators on the exhibition floor added a memorable, on-theme moment.
The Derig & Handover
SQLBits 2024 was the biggest edition to date, 300-plus sessions across five days, and organisers singled out the technical quality, the branding and the interactive features as setting a new benchmark.
When the show closed, the entire rig across every room and the exhibition hall was struck and loaded out cleanly. The result strengthened a partnership that continues into the next edition.
