What we delivered: AV production and technical support for a landmark grand opening

We supported Zund UK with the grand opening of their new headquarters, a landmark marking a multimillion-pound investment in UK manufacturing. Over 250 guests attended, including customers, partners and local dignitaries, for a day of innovation, networking and celebration.

The Challenge

A milestone opening inside a working 40,000 sq ft manufacturing facility, with live technology demonstrations at its heart. The AV had to carry speeches and presentations cleanly across a large industrial space and a marquee, without ever competing with the machinery on show.

The Get-In & Install

We scoped the AV requirements with Zund and ran a site inspection ahead of the day, prepping and testing the kit for a reliable install in a large, non-standard space.

Audio. A Soundcraft EPM6 desk fed an L-Acoustics X8 PA on LA4X amplification, sized to cover the marquee and speech areas with clarity.

Wireless and playback. Sennheiser handheld and lavalier wireless kept presenters mobile, with QLab handling audio playback for the reveal moments.

Show Day

On the day we delivered clean, reliable AV across the opening ceremony and the demonstrations.

Speeches and presentations. The PA carried the formal welcome and the dignitary speeches evenly across the room, with wireless mics handed between speakers without a hitch.

Live demonstrations. We supported the technology demos that were the centrepiece of the day, making sure audio and cues landed as guests moved through the facility.

On site. Our crew stayed across the event to keep everything running as guests networked and celebrated.

The Derig

The opening landed as a seamless, professional celebration of a major investment, with the client praising the delivery and the guest experience.
